Belief systems are derived from the human desire to understand the unknown. Science, being a system of knowledge covering general truths or the operations of fundamental laws, is rapidly establishing its doctrine.
Ideas of eternal life, reward and punishment and self-definition are reappearing in the secular world view, validated by a scientific interpretation.
What are the behavioural consequences of believing in science? What do we fear and what gives us hope? How do we perceive ourselves within a reality in which biological developments have been overtaken by technology?
