As part of the ‘New’ European migrational boom, I used my ‘motherland’ (the former Yugoslav Republic of Slovenia) as a case study. A focal point revolved around mass events such as the Eurovision – looking at the voting process – the current political climate in the Balkans, the presidency of Slovenia in the EU and the idea of immigrants abroad. These observations take the shape of an organised event: the invasion of my home-town by foreigners (fellow students) in an attempt to make an exhibition about this subject that was aimed at locals.
