My work challenges ideas of shape on the body, exploring the ways in which 2D becomes 3D, creating square box-like forms that are playful yet wearable. Structural, uncluttered silhouettes help realise clean, sharp lines which add to this cartoonesque, quirky feel.
Inspiration for colour has been taken from Martin Parr’s garish, clashing photographs of everyday scenes from the 70s.
Combining wools and plastics to create contrast of fabric and texture, help to add to the jarring, oddity of Parr’s work.
