Please familiarise yourself with the ethos and work of the programme by visiting our microsite and our research microsite. If your research topic fits, please submit a research proposal for the January deadline that addresses:
- why the proposed research should be carried out in the Design Interactions programme, making references to specific staff and student projects if appropriate
- what its contribution to the field of design will be, and who will find it of value
- how it relates to, and builds upon, prior work in the proposed field of study
- possible design methodologies
Candidates' applications should include a portfolio of projects demonstrating a strong grasp of experimental, conceptual, speculative or critical design approaches to science and technology.
On receiving your proposal in January, if the project fits within the programmes’s research interests you will be encouraged to develop it further and submit a formal application. Interviews will be in March or April. If successful, you will be offered a place in May or June to begin study in October.
