    Bursaries & Other Funds – Non-EU Students

  • If you are a student from outside the EU, you will incur higher tuition fees than UK students because your course may not be subsidised from other sources and you are not eligible for a College bursary. You are encouraged to contact the British Council in your country of residence from whom a scholarship or award may be available. Financial arrangements, whether personal or through governments or organisations such as the British Council, must have been completed before you come to the College. The British Council is not able to consider applications from overseas students once they have arrived in the UK.

If you are from the USA you should note that the College is designated as an eligible institution for American students to apply for a Guaranteed Student Loan under the new Direct Loan Program. The RCA’s School Code is 00942300 or G09423. For more information about the loans available to you, please visit the US Education Student Aid website and the Direct Loan website, or contact admissions@rca.ac.uk.

We recognise that you may not be able to raise the funds you need to study in London and at the RCA until you have actually been offered a place. You may be able to ‘defer’ your entry by a year, as the College permits this in certain circumstances.

    Non-EU Bursary Scheme

We have established a special scheme that will help a few international students in their second year of study with a contribution towards their fees. Heads of Departments are invited to nominate students for this award and students cannot apply for it directly.

More information on other sources of funding can be found in the Funding Support section of this website under Funding for International Students.
