The College currently administers a bursary scheme for full-time students from England, Wales, Northern Ireland, Scotland and other EU countries. The amount offered for each bursary will be £3,000. Applicants who are offered a place will be given further details with their offer letter, provided they are eligible. EU nationals may apply for a fees award if they have been ordinarily resident in the EU throughout the period of three years immediately preceding their application. In 2011/12:
- 86% of eligible Home and 82% of eligible EU first-year students received a fees bursary of £3000
- 86% of eligible Home and 87% of eligible EU second-year students received a fees bursary of £3000
Please note:
- if you are eligible, you should not assume you will automatically have your fees paid
- PhD students are not eligible to apply to the College bursary scheme
- if you obtain a bursary you will be required to pay the difference between the fees payable by the bursary and the College tuition fees
- unfortunately, we cannot open our bursary scheme to international students. Please see Non-EU Bursary Scheme.
If you are resident in the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man, their respective education authorities operate their own schemes, which provides the same benefits as the College Bursary Scheme. If you obtain a bursary under any of the above arrangements, you will be required to pay the difference between the fees payable by the bursary and the College tuition fees.
