    We offer a dyslexic screening test and individual sessions on organisation and help with dissertations. It is advisable to book first.

    For a screening test you can see either Qona Rankin, Dyslexia Coordinator, or John Gallally, Student Support Manager. For help with organisational difficulties see John Gallally. For help with dissertations or other studio difficulties see Qona Rankin.

    Group sessions

    The idea behind group sessions is to introduce students to a number of strategies, which the students can try out within a safe and supportive environment.

    The sessions always begin with an explanation for and description of the particular difficulties or issues. Various strategies are then presented which the students explore and try out for themselves. The sessions end with a discussion about the relative merits and possible applications for each strategy. The length of each session is generally 45 minutes, and covers areas of difficulty such as memory, spelling, reading and writing, note-taking, verbal presentations and relaxation techniques. Every sixth session is a review session where we revisit and review the learned strategies.


    Strategy workshops for students with dyslexia and dyspraxia

    Strategy workshops begin with an explanation for and description of a particular issue. Various strategies will then be presented which participants will explore and try out for themselves. The sessions will end with a discussion about the relative merits and possible applications for the strategies.
