The importance of drawing, as part of the thinking process or as a final objective, is recognised within every discipline at the RCA. Experimentation and development of a personal language are of paramount importance within abstract, objective or diagrammatic forms.

Pupils and teachers who have attended our drawing workshops have found them liberating and exciting. Sessions emphasise confidence and questioning as much as putting marks to surfaces. Each year we run events in the Big Draw and workshops during the college-wide Man Group Drawing Prize at the RCA.  Sessions are led by those whose major practice is drawing within their concerns as sculptors, animators, illustrators, product designers - to name but a few.
