All the staff working in the Library have had training in dyslexia awareness and will understand and sympathise with any difficulties you might have.
So, if you have dyslexia it is important to tell the member of staff dealing with you.
Materials
Books and videos about dyslexia are located just inside the mezzanine level on the left.
Video Recordings
Video recordings of all CHS lectures are available for you to look at in the library.
Book Finding Service
There is a book finding service, which is available on Mondays between 1.30pm and 2.30pm during term time. To make use of this service, you need to book a time at the Library desk.
Software
We have just installed "Inspirations", which is a mind managing software, on the machines in the Computer Cluster.
Additional Induction Session
Through the Dyslexia Co-ordinator you can book an additional induction session to help you find your way around the Library.
Library Skills Workshops
Library skills workshops to help with research skills are run most Wednesdays and Thursdays between 10.00am and 12.00pm. Sign up at the desk.
Extra Equipment
There are headphones and a magnifying glass kept by the desk. If you want to use these just ask.
Photocopying
The Library can provide you with a receipt for photocopying. If you have DSA funding you might be able to reclaim this money.
The best time for photocopying is in the morning between 9.00am and 10.30am, because it is less busy.
