International students studying in the UK for more than six months are eligible to receive free healthcare through the National Health Service. This means that you will be eligible to register with a GP, receive GP treatment and also receive hospital treatment without having to pay. You will be charged for any dental treatment that you receive.

For more information please check the information produced by UKCISA. You should also remember that it is important for you to register with a local GP as soon as possible after arrival. You can search for a local GP at the NHS Direct website.

If you wish to access private healthcare services during your stay you should arrange private healthcare insurance in your home country before arrival in the UK.
