The principal Committees of the Senate are:

• the Academic Standards Committee (Academic Standards Committee Terms of Reference)
• the Research Committee (Research Committee Terms of Reference)
• the Academic Board for Concessions and Discipline (Academic Board for Concessions and Discipline Terms of Reference).

The roles of the Academic Standards, Research and Planning and Resources Committee are self evident. The Academic Board for Concessions and Discipline is responsible for admissions, student course concessions and academic disciplinary matters.

In addition to the committees, the Professorial Board (Professorial Board Membership) advises the Senate and the Rector.
