The Drawing Studio is a college-wide resource. We run course-specific workshops and classes for some departments. We also provide a diverse range of courses, workshops, classes and events that are open to all students and staff.
Drawing Studio activities include:
- Drawing Surgeries
- Drawing Masterclasses
- Anatomy Courses
- Forensic Reconstruction Courses
- Drawing the Body, figure drawing classes
- Restart
- Esemplastic Tuesdays - free drawing and free improvisation
Students are also able to book the Drawing Studio to work on their personal projects, and Open Studio days – when students and staff can come and work in the Drawing Studio space – are also featured.
The tutor in Drawing is also available to all students for tutorials.
We have a great variety of visiting tutors, poets, musicians, actors, writers, artists, academics, animators, filmmakers, and with their help we are able to arrange a wide and eclectic variety of drawing-related activities.
Apart from course specific workshops and classes all Drawing Studio activities are run on a drop in / drop out basis, enabling students to attend most classes even if they only have 10 to 20 minutes free.
Drawing Studio Sessions are 10am – 1pm and 2pm – 5pm and the evening classes are from 6pm – 9pm, with the exception of Esemplastic Tuesdays which start at 6.30pm.
All Drawing Studio equipment is supplied and all materials (for use in the Drawing Studio) are free to students and staff.
