Oliver Winser’s Statement
My work explores the relationship between place and language.
I believe that through geographical, psychological and metaphorical uses of language we are able to create a sense of place.
What interests me is the potential for this sense to be challenged.
My work might explore how it feels to live in Hope or how to behave in Westminster. It might give directions for Paradise or show the distance between black and white.
