My work is about solitude.

With short fragments of video I investigate characters who are alone - almost isolated and placed in strangely empty locations such as a vast industrial plot or bare landscape.

For me, this kind of solitude feels a bit like floating in a dream-like, open and undefined space. Solitude is close to the feeling of desire or longing and sometimes exhilaration is hidden by melancholy.

With short narrative excerpts of video and by looking at a single character from different viewpoints, I attempt to map and explore this complex space and its ambiguity.
