  • Nutre Arayavanish’s Statement

My jewellery is concerned with the transformation of drawings from two dimensions into 3D forms. The pieces are made by connecting each flat component together, unit by unit, to create different forms by using different techniques such as slotting, layering and riveting.

I also explore the relationship between maker, jewellery and wearer in order to encourage the wearer to engage with my pieces in ways other than wearing it, and people’s perception or reaction to my jewellery when presented to them in its pre-constructed state of existence.
