We are interested in the strangeness involved in the transmission of knowledge in schools and museums and elsewhere in life. The ambiguities, the failures, the misunderstandings, the frustrations. What is the value of a misconception, a half-baked theory? Are there points in the evolution of a more advanced sense that might be worth looking at? At the limits of our understanding there are necessarily provisionary, shaky structures ready to tumble at any minute and that we must constantly rearrange and prop up. In giving these some sort of concrete form we want to share the possibilities that lie in this narrow area between a sense of sublime wonder and bored disappointment.
