  • Gemma Anderson’s Statement

    I make portraits that represent both the physical and the metaphorical. These are constructed through associations I make between the subject and particular objects and symbols. Through etching I have been creating large-scale physiological depictions of people’s moods, imagined resemblances and idiosyncrasies.
