  • Craig Morrison’s Statement

The aim of the project is to raise automative industry awareness that wood body panels can have a positive environmental impact. I have created a car using sustainable materials and processes. The design displays wood in a new light, introducing advances in veneer and plywood-bending techniques, that make it possible to create double curvature.

Though my research focuses on a vehicle reflecting the ethos of surfing, and is a vehicle for surfers, the outcome strongly emphasises sustainable design for the general population. It is an affordable product that can, and should, inspire the automobile industry to adapt sustainable solutions to any vehicle.
