  • Eleanor Davies’ Statement

Surfing in the ocean, things back on land look different: people look small, problems seem trivial and solutions seem possible.

Until I am satisfied that life is as beautiful as it can be, I’ll always end up turning my board around and paddling back to earth.

My projects have looked at all aspects of life. As a contrast to the fun, thrill and fear of extreme urban sports in Light Jumping, I am now focusing on loss. In particular, the role objects can have in our memory of a loved one and the possibilities of new rituals.
