Ruffians Hall (Tatemae vs Honne)
Ruffians Hall is a venue for gambling, gaming and combat sports. It provides an outlet for the Honne of the city’s inhabitants. The Japanese term Honne (Hon-neh) describes an informal, personal reality ignores the constraints of social conventions. Located in London Smithfields, the hall provides a facility people to experience their true feelings and desires, engaging in the illicit activities on offer.
